This letter isn’t for everyone. In fact, I know there will be people who unsubscribe from my list and get angry at me for even mentioning this. I wish I could say sorry - but I can’t. I’ll explain exactly why in one minute.
You see about 2 years ago, my wife and I went on a cruise to celebrate my college graduation and also the news that we are having twin boys. About a week before we set sail, I heard a rumor about a very controversial marketing book.

I figured it would be great reading on the plane so I ordered it and made sure it would be shipped to me before I left. I got it the day we were flying out, and put it into my backpack. We had a 4 hour flight, so while my wife watched “Madagascar” on the plane, I started reading the book. After reading just the introduction I saw exactly what the hype and controversy was about. Four hours later I was annoyed that we had to get off the plane because I wasn’t finished reading the book.

Over the next 7 days of our cruise I read and re-read the book 3 times! What I read in this book blew me away. You see, the book was written by a 28 year old guy who made over $100 million dollars (yes ONE HUNDRED MILLION) in 23 months marketing a product that sold for just $60. Do you think that someone who knows how to sell that much product could teach you something about selling whatever it is that you are selling?

This is a Cinderella opportunity to discover how to take any product or idea from raw concept to breathtaking success- virtually overnight. These are the exact time-tested techniques I exploited to gross over $3 million
(see verifiable proof above) in a single year with my own crazy ideas.

I enjoyed listening to this, and thought that it illuminated some areas that would have remained in the dark for most buyers. While it made me smarter, it did not present a clear path to action for a newbie.

I’m glad I bought it, but it’s not going to make me richer any time soon.

Doesn’t this review sound like a sales pitch on Russel Brunsun’s 12-Month Internet Millionaire sales page?

Aside from Eric’s Tips, I am looking forward to reading real, meaty, relevant internet marketing reviews - only those that can guide us to make a wise spending decision on a marketing product, since they’re everywhere nowadays.

***** Admin EDIT *****
MPR states in our issues and about us page that we allow products to be showcased by vendors and let the reviews come from the community. The posts are not reviews in themselves, but a summary of the sales pages claims and promises. Then the reviews follow from the readers of the community.

I did not get past the sales page.
Typical of this type of page, for me, it does not establish trust.
Making claims like this page does, that he did it + I can do it = sounds too good to be true … is to good to be true.
Too much hype, not enough information.

Overpriced!!! Great sales copy though!

I purchased this and I prefer reading transcripts than listening as I can read a lot faster. The transcript was really bad…The transcript was the most painful thing I’ve ever read through that didn’t involve physical human suffering.

Seriously. Here’s one paragraph of the book:

“You know, and, you know, and as far as on - on the coaching stuff, I mean I’ve - pretty much I’ve been down most of the roads already. Like most of the magazines that are out there, I’ve advertised in so I know - I, you know, I - I have been there before. I could tell you what - I could tell you if they’re a good kisser or a bad kisser since I’ve been there already.”

It goes on like that.

For 197 pages.

But, like, you know, the word “like” appears in the book an average of, like, 5 times per page, and the, you know, phrase “you know” appears more than 10 times per page. On like, you
know, the average.

It’s like, you know, annoying.

I figure that, properly edited, that book should have been 35-50 pages. Tops. I’d have been Very Happy with that purchase.

I honestly have to wonder if either of these guys actually read the thing before releasing it.

I don’t expect a transcription of a conversation to be perfect. That’s not only unrealistic, it takes away from the
value of the thing. It removes the personal touch that’s part of what makes interviews so interesting.

But, come on. That’s ridiculous.

They delivered what they promised. They’ve done what they claim to have done. And they’re nice guys, from everything I’ve heard. But if they can cheerfully waste hours of my time with
that kind of thing once, they’re likely to do it again.

It will take one hell of a pitch for me to buy anything from them in the future.

I agree with Cheryl 100% concerning the transcript.

My biggest isssue was with the title and the sales page. Both lead you to believe that this is about how some one made a Miliion in 12 Months via Internet Marketing, or how it could be done.

The bulk of transcript/audio covers Direct Mail Marketing. Not to mention that the interview is close to two years old.

I felt as if I had been deceived, and quickly requested and received a refund.

You know, I mean, it was like I was reliving the same sentence over and over again. After listening to and reading from these transcripts I am sticking with what “I Know” right now and that is direct response marketing. The hype these guys put into this stuff is getting annoying. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck than just maybe it is what it is, a duck. This didn’t give me anything more than a headache. If these internet marketers would just get to the point without all the fluff I believe they would have something. But trying to “read between the lines” is frustrating. I didn’t pay hard earned money to get 95% crap and 5% real content I can actually use. My advice to those of you reading this is to find a friend that has all the transcripts, take them to lunch and ask to borrow it for a few days. Then form your own opinions.

Come on.. ya the transcript wasn’t very good, but for $37? Get real. Even the price increased at $97 is still awesome.

Hey Guys - We actually had the transcripts re-done and we sent them out to all our customers. If you didn’t get them, please contact our help desk at www.customerhelpdesk.org and they can get you the new version.

Thanks
